Hershaw Toastmasters (Online) 35 Yesterday, Today, Tomorrow Celebration!!!

Join us at Hershaw Toastmasters for a nostalgic journey celebrating yesterday, today, and tomorrow with a touch of inspiration!

This is a hybrid event with in-person by invitation, as there is limited spacing at the venue. Registration is for online attendance. However, we offer a waiting list for those who wish to attend in person if a spot becomes available.

Hershaw Toastmasters was established in 1988 and chartered by Toastmasters International in February 1990. Isabel Hershaw founded the club to serve Brampton and the surrounding areas, and it originated as a spin-off of the Brampton Club established on March 1, 1957.

Hershaw Toastmasters is the second oldest club in Brampton, where hundreds have practiced communication and leadership, and members have assisted in chartering clubs such as Region of Peel Toastmasters, City of Brampton Toastmasters, Alpha Toastmasters, Brampton Talks Toastmasters, CM Toastmasters, and Stand Proud Gavel Club, among others. Club members have led speechcraft sessions, youth leadership programs, Ontario Corrections Institute volunteer program, and various events to help community members build their public speaking skills.

Notable members who have excelled outside the club include Vitaliy Fursov, District Director of District 86, and Dawn Frial, District 60 Governor and Past International Director for Region. Many members have served in district roles, received district recognition, and achieved the designation of Distinguished Toastmaster

The club has traditionally celebrated the contributions of its founder, past/current members, past/current club officers, and club awards in the Toastmasters year each five-year anniversary. On February 1, 2025, the club celebrated its 35th anniversary; therefore, the celebration will happen on June 26, 2025, at 7 pm in person and online with Hershaw Toastmasters 35, Yesterday, Today, and Tomorrow.
