Contestants present a five- to seven- minute speech on any subject they choose. All districts must conduct this contest.

• Clubs run from contests Jan 5-Feb 1
• Areas run contests Feb 2-Mar 1
• Divisions run contests Mar 2-Mar 29
• District finals at the District Spring Conference May 1-3, 2026
• Areas with four or fewer clubs will allow 2 contestants per club.
• Divisions with four areas or fewer will allow 2 contestants per area.
• Clubs determine how they conduct their own club contest.
• Area, Division, and District contests will be in person.
