The Distinguished Toastmasters Designation is the highest educational achievement in Toastmasters. The final project to qualify for this designation is a DTM Project which requires the toastmaster to lead a team to execute a project that will benefit an organization. This project pulls on the communication and leadership skills developed after completing other projects and leadership activities.
The Project
The project I have selected is a food drive to benefit the Regeneration Food bank in Brampton Ontario.
Why a food drive?
With the tough economic times, more and more people are turning to food bank to put food on their table and the holiday season is usually a time of greatest need. Donations to the foodbank is a great way to help these individuals. There are many in our community who would love to donate in their own small way and a food drive allows for a collective effort with a larger impact.
How can you Help?
I welcome the support and contribution of my fellow Toastmasters.
To simplify the collection process, you may wish to collect at the club level and to then reach out to me at [email protected] to arrange for collection. I will then deliver all items collected to Regeneration on December 1, 2023.
What to donate
Non-perishable food items such as canned fruits & vegetables, pasta, rice, Hot and cold cereal, Oil, Pasta sauce, Pancake mix, pancake syrup, Canned meat, teabags, Peanut butter and any other unexpired items.
Together we will make a positive, tangible difference in the lives of others.
